• How thick should the mulch be applied?

            When mulching new beds, we recommend the mulch be applied at a thickness of 3 inches.  When adding mulch to existing beds, we recommend a thickness of 2 inches.

• How do I calculate how much mulch I need?
  

           Simply add up the square footage of your beds and use the chart below.  We recommend you round up to the nearest yard.  It's always better to have a little too much than not enough. 

• Can you explain the delivery process?

            Once you have figured out how much mulch you need, simply go to our Products page and place your order through our online store.  Throughout our busiest months of the season, April - July, we deliver six days a week.  Once we have received your order we will call to confirm the day and time we are planning to deliver.  

If you are planning to have us dump your order of colored mulch on your driveway, we highly recommend you placing a 14x10' (or bigger) tarp down for us to dump on.  Without a tarp, colored mulch can leave a stain.  If rain is in the forecast, it is not a bad idea to have a second tarp available to cover mulch with.  If you are planning to have us dump in the street, a tarp isn't necessary.  Once we arrive at your house, it typically takes us around 15 minutes to drop off your order. 

• What if I don't need as many yards as your minimum order?

             Often customers will purchase mulch with a neighbor to meet the minimum order requirement and save on the delivery charge.  

• Can I pick my order up at your lot?

             Yes, we do allow pickup at our lot in Olathe.  Because we are out most days doing deliveries, we encourage you to call us at (913) 348-2318 to make sure someone will be there to load you.
